Great to meet you!

I have worked in the mental health profession for more than 10 years. I hold a doctorate degree in Counselor Education from the University of Marylan, College Park. I possess several certifications including National Certified Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Grief-Informed Professional. My primary focus has been addressing the needs of adults aged 18 and above experiencing various concerns in the personal and professional lives. My primary areas of focus are depression, anxiety, and grief, although I am trained to work with clients with array of presenting concerns.

My approach to therapy

The primary approaches that I utilize in working with clients are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person- Centered Counseling, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Journaling, self-actualization, empathy, mindfulness, and goal-setting are some of the techniques that I use to help guide clients in achieving their goals. The approaches and techniques are customized based upon the needs of the client.

What you can expect from me

I get to know my clients by reviewing their information and goals for counseling by creating a safe space for them to open up and discuss their concerns in counseling. From there, we work together to determine a plan that best meets the needs for them. In doing this, my clients have been able to see progress within the first month. As I work with clients, I am empathetic to their needs as well as their past and current circumstances that are preventing them from accomplishing their goals.
