Great to meet you!

Maybe you are carrying more than anyone around you realizes: anxiety that will not switch off, depression that drains the color out of everything, a family under strain, or a hard life adjustment you did not choose. I work with adults and adolescents and I have spent my career protecting children and families through the hardest moments of their lives, as a foster care program manager, a hospital social work manager, and a clinician completing psychiatric evaluations. I know what it takes to hold a family together, and I bring that same steadiness, cultural understanding, and faith (when welcome) into our work together. I'm also a mom to my two sons and proud Gi Gi to my granddaugher.

My approach to therapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help you understand your patterns, build coping skills, and reconnect with your own motivation to change. I bring deep experience with the African-American community, family conflict, and trauma's effects on women and mothers. I also offer Christian-focused therapy for clients who want faith woven into sessions.

What you can expect from me

You do not have to have it all figured out to start. Whatever brought you here, you deserve a space that is direct, warm, and grounded in respect for everything you have already carried. If you are ready for support that sees your whole story, I would be honored to work alongside you.
