Great to meet you!

If you're carrying grief, trauma, anxiety, or the weight of trying to hold everything together, you don't have to keep doing it alone. A few years ago, I knew I had to fully embrace the work I was built for. Helping individuals, families, and whole communities navigate what feels impossible is what drives me, and that shows up in every session. I'm Gloria Bailey, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed clinical addiction specialist (LCASa) with nearly a decade of experience in trauma, PTSD, grief, substance use, crisis intervention, and more. I bring a supportive, non-judgmental space where we move at your pace. When you're ready to take that next step, I'd be glad to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrated, meaning I pull from several evidence-based methods and choose what fits you, not the other way around. If your struggles are rooted in how you think about yourself or the world, we might lean into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift those patterns. If something from the past is still showing up in your reactions today, Trauma-Focused CBT or Psychodynamic work helps us understand where that comes from and begin to loosen its grip. For clients navigating substance use, I draw on Motivational Interviewing and Seeking Safety, meeting you where your ambivalence actually is. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) gives us tools for the moments between sessions. And when something just needs a practical solution now, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy helps us find it. Sessions feel like a real conversation, grounded in what matters to you at this point in your life. You bring the expertise on your own experience. I bring the clinical training. We work from both.

What you can expect from me

Our first few sessions are a chance to slow down and get oriented together. I'll spend time listening, asking questions, and beginning to understand what brings you in. There's no pressure to share everything at once. By the time we've met two or three times, you'll have a clearer picture of what we're working on and why. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little more grounded, heard, and ready to keep going.
