Great to meet you!

I’m Gloria, a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

My experience includes working with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and the effects of trauma and major life changes. I especially enjoy helping clients better understand the patterns affecting their lives, develop healthier ways of coping, and build confidence in themselves and their decisions. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in the process. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with you to understand what you're experiencing and identify meaningful, realistic goals for change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, and skills informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we may work on identifying unhelpful thought patterns, regulating difficult emotions, improving communication and boundaries, processing stressful or traumatic experiences, and developing coping strategies you can use outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a therapist who will listen without judgment while also helping you move toward meaningful change. Sessions with me are supportive and conversational, but they are also purposeful. We will identify patterns, build practical coping skills, explore what may be keeping you stuck, and recognize the progress you're making along the way. My goal is for you to leave therapy not only feeling understood, but also better equipped to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-awareness.
