Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 17 years of experience in healthcare. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care to individuals seeking support and stability in their lives.

I completed my education at Walden University and Coppin State University, where I developed a strong clinical foundation in psychiatric care and evidence-based treatment. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working with individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, and I am committed to helping my patients achieve improved well-being and quality of life.

In my practice, I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management in an outpatient setting. I focus on creating a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and actively participating in their care.

I believe in building strong, collaborative relationships with my clients and tailoring treatment plans to meet each person’s unique needs. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care that empowers individuals to manage their mental health and move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe that every individual’s experience is unique, so I take the time to understand each client’s concerns, history, and goals before developing a personalized treatment plan.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and focus on thoughtful medication management when appropriate. I work closely with my clients to monitor progress, adjust treatment as needed, and ensure that care remains effective and aligned with their needs. I also place a strong emphasis on education, helping clients better understand their condition and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care.

With over 17 years of experience in healthcare, I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing openly. I value clear communication and encourage active participation, as I believe the best outcomes come from a strong partnership between provider and client.

My goal is to help individuals achieve improved mental health, greater stability, and a better overall quality of life through consistent, personalized, and compassionate care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. I take the time to listen carefully and understand your experiences so we can build a strong foundation for your care.

We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes discussing your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, and any previous treatments. I will also ask about your daily life, stressors, and goals to gain a full understanding of your needs.

Together, we will begin to identify clear treatment goals and discuss a personalized plan that may include medication management, coping strategies, and ongoing follow-up care. I make sure to explain everything in a clear and supportive way so you feel informed and confident in the process.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a better understanding of your concerns, an initial treatment plan, and a clear path forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered to take the next steps in your mental health journey.
