Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Dr. Grace Chikezie, DNP, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With nearly three decades of experience in healthcare under my belt, including primary care and mental health services, I've developed a strong background in managing depression, ADHD, anxiety, adjustment, and personality disorders, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and more... in a diverse population.

I obtained my Doctoral, Master's, and Post Master's degrees at Purdue University Global in West Lafayette, Indiana, and I firmly believe in a holistic approach to care for my clients. My Clients are treated as family.

In my spare time, I love singing, traveling, reading, and doing research.

My path into mental health began while caring for patients with physical health conditions who often had underlying, undiagnosed mental health concerns. Witnessing this gap in care strengthened my commitment to serving the community and expanding access to compassionate, comprehensive mental health services.

My approach to therapy

I integrate multiple evidence-based approaches to deliver comprehensive, individualized care. These include:

  • Medication Management
  • Client-centered therapy
  • Cognitive and behavioral techniques
  • Mindfulness-based strategies
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Existential therapy

By combining these methods, I address psychological, biological, and social factors to support your overall wellness.

What you can expect from me

On the first day of the session with me, you should expect to feel heard, validated, hopeful, gain a clearer understanding of my approach, the management/treatment process, and a sense of connection. I create a private, confidential, and supportive environment where you can feel physically and emotionally at ease. Through active listening, empathy, and open-ended questions, I encourage you to share openly and honestly.

Together, we will:

  • Build rapport and establish trust
  • Identify meaningful goals
  • Develop practical strategies
  • Empower you to create lasting change
