Dr. Grace Lindsey

Hi there! I’m Grace, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked across a variety of settings, including medical-surgical and specialty units at a Level I trauma center, COVID-19 units, burn and reconstructive care, correctional nursing, and hospice. During my advanced practice training, I gained experience in inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency services, PHP/IOP, addiction treatment, and community-based care, and participated in a medical mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. These experiences have shaped my approach to mental health care: listen without judgment, look beyond the diagnosis, and treat the whole person. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood, while advocating for those who may have difficulty finding their voice. We offer Genomind, GeneSight, Heavy metal toxicity, OAT, GI, and other types of integrative testing.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on the whole person—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I believe good mental health care starts with feeling heard and understood, so I take the time to listen, ask questions, and understand what is happening in your life before developing a treatment plan. Together, we’ll explore options that fit your needs, goals, and preferences, with an emphasis on education, shared decision-making, and practical strategies that support long-term well-being.

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and understand what brought you to care. We’ll discuss your mental health history, current concerns and symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, current medications, and medications or treatments you may have tried in the past. We’ll also talk about your goals for treatment and what you hope to get out of care. I’ll answer your questions, explain my recommendations, and work with you to create an individualized plan moving forward.
