Grace Perkins

I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician. I have worked in various positions of the mental health and substance abuse system for many years. I have a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling and a Master of Arts degree in Human Service Counseling:Recovery and Addiction. I specialize in clients with Serious Mental Health issues, Trauma and Addiction/Recovery. I work mostly with adults and sometimes children age 13-18.

I first like to build a rapport with the person so that they feel comfortable and motivated to participate.I will explain the process and start the intake and person centered interview. The type of therapy used depends on the issues and client's personality.

I want to empower the person by helping them discover their strengths, learn good coping skills and self compassion. I want to leave them with a good feeling about themselves and the world they live in.
