Great to meet you!

Graham Husick, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist and the originator of the T.A.R.G.E.T. Testing Method, an innovative approach to psychological assessment designed to enhance diagnostic clarity and guide more effective therapeutic interventions.

Dr. Husick completed his doctoral training at the University of Indianapolis, where his research focused on improving scientific rigor in institutional research settings. He has trained under leading figures in the field, including Dr. Elgan Baker and Dr. Jonathan Shedler. His clinical background spans a broad range of settings and patient populations, with a focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy, mood illness, Autism, and personality disorders.

When he is not working in Private Practice, he serves as the Director of Clinical Assessment at the Lakeside Independence Program, a unique treatment facility specializing in severe and complex mental health presentations. In this leadership role, Dr. Husick designed and implemented the clinic’s advanced assessment protocols, integrating precision diagnostics into the core of individualized treatment planning.

Known for combining rigorous assessment with depth-oriented psychotherapy, Dr. Husick is deeply committed to advancing clinical excellence through mentorship, research, and the continuous refinement of therapeutic practice.

My approach to therapy

Good therapy doesn’t come from a manual. It comes from meeting a person and formulating a shared understanding and plan forward.

Every treatment I do is customized to the difficulties each patient suffers—so no generalities or exercises that feel out of place.

I also promise every patient that if after our first appointment, we don’t seem to be a good match, I will help them find the therapist who is.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a collaborative journey that fosters insight, emotional growth, and lasting change—not just the alleviation of distress, but the development of a richer, more authentic sense of self. It is the opportunity to feel comfortable in your own skin.
