Greta Carlson, Psy.D., ABPP, is a board-certified clinical psychologist licensed in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Washington state, and Psypact participating states. She completed her APA-accredited psychology internship in crisis intervention, trauma, and severe mental illness at Friends Hospital, her postdoctoral fellowship in trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and dissociative disorders at Sheppard Pratt Health System, and a residency in child and adolescent psychology at Expand Psychology, formerly the Center for Cognitive Therapy and Assessment.
Dr. Carlson has written and presented several clinical papers, including a paper on the treatment of sexual challenges in adults with Dissociative Identity Disorder, a paper on adapting psychodynamic psychotherapy for use within inpatient settings, and a case presentation on the treatment of trauma in children and adolescents through play therapy at Division 39 (Society of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology) of the American Psychological Association.
