Great to meet you!

I bring 36 years of licensed experience to my work as a therapist and strive to create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and easy to enter. I am direct, friendly, and open, and I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are - and are motivated to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship. I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges and life experiences, meeting each person wherever they are on their journey.

My practice includes treating anxiety, mood disorders, women’s issues, work-related stress, and supporting overall wellness. I believe our physical health is just as important as our mental health - so I encourage regular physical activity, good sleep hygiene and healthy nutrition and hydration. I also have specialization in working with adolescents and teens ages 16 and older. My focus is on supporting the whole person, with attention to both mental and physical well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, compassionate, and individualized. I believe emotional health is deeply connected to physical well-being, so I work with clients from a whole-person perspective. Together, we’ll tailor treatment to your unique needs, goals, and strengths while creating a supportive, practical space for growth.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Approaches. These modalities can help you gain greater self-understanding, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to feel warm, supportive, and welcoming. During the intake interview, I’ll ask about your current circumstances, as well as your family, relationships, work, and overall health history. This initial conversation is an opportunity for you to share your story while beginning to build a trusting connection.

My goal is to help you feel comfortable and respected from the start. I strive to create an environment where you can open up at your own pace, and I hope to convey how much I value working with people from our very first session.
