Great to meet you!

My name is Hadley. I am so glad you are here! I attended UNC-Chapel Hill for graduate school. I then moved to Seattle while my spouse was in the Navy and I worked as a trauma therapist with children. We returned to North Carolina where I worked for five years in community mental health with all ages. I began my private practice in December 2022 in Wilmington, NC. I enjoy working with all ages but my passion lies in women's issues including marriage, friendship, pregnancy and parenthood.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a safe space where you can process your feelings. I want to support you in working towards your goals and it helps to do this with a neutral party. Client goals may include talking about the past, working through current conflict in your daily life or making plans for your future. Therapy looks different for each individual. Some clients prefer to come in and just talk while others want to use worksheets in session and at home.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that you walk away from our time together feeling lighter than when you walked in and validated in your feelings. The goal is that you feel motivated to continue making progress for YOU! You may leave with resources such as book titles or podcasts. I can provide worksheets so you can continue doing work at home. Additionally, we will discuss other ways that you can take steps towards goals outside of our sessions.
