Great to meet you!

I'm Hagan Lawson, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and graduate of Purdue University. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy for individuals experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and other mental health challenges. My background in both physical and mental health care has shaped the way I practice, I believe understanding the whole person is essential to providing meaningful mental health care. Above all, I want my patients to feel comfortable being themselves and know they will be heard, respected, and involved in their care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, personalized, and never one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand what you're experiencing, what matters to you, and what you hope to get from treatment before we decide on a plan together. When medication is appropriate, I believe in explaining your options, answering your questions, and making sure you feel comfortable with the decisions we make. My goal is to combine evidence-based care with a genuine, human connection so you feel like an active participant in your treatment rather than simply being given a diagnosis or prescription.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you, not just your symptoms or a diagnosis. We'll talk about what brought you in, your mental and physical health history, what's going well, what's been difficult, and what you'd like to change. I'll answer your questions and we'll discuss treatment options together, including medication when appropriate. You don't need to have everything figured out before your appointment; my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with a better understanding of what may be going on and a clear plan for what comes next.
