Great to meet you!

I am encouraged and honored when individuals, couples and families reach out for support and guidance for life's challenges or simply for personal or professional growth. I have been in the mental health profession since 2003, serving in positions in community mental health as an intensive crisis specialist, case manager, Family Centered Treatment (FCT) specialist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and a social work leader in several capacities. As an LCSW, I have focused on individuals who have experienced trauma, to include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), anxiety and panic disorders, depression, interpersonal challenges between couples and families, and those who are experiencing temporary struggles in life, such as grief, job loss, divorce/separation, to name a few. I also provide life coaching and professional coaching for self-pay individuals. For professionals seeking coaching, I hold certifications in Situational Leadership and extensive training in the Leadership Pipeline, which prepares professionals to engage in effective leadership for leaders of others and leaders of leaders. I am open to serve children, teens and adults, and I look forward to learning more about your needs and answering any questions you may have about my background.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is a collaborative process. I truly make a commitment to be in this journey with you and will meet you where you are in life, without judgement and with the intention of creating a safe space for all. I am very open, honest and direct and believe that while we focus each session on how to create a plan for your success, it it truly what you do between sessions that really push you forward and empower the change that you wish to see. With that ebing said, I do give life work assignments to encourage growth between sessions. These assignments will be created in session and something we both agree will be helpful on your journey. I bring evidence-based, experiential interventions to each session, so we will talk, but I go above and beyond talk therapy to offer an experience-based practice to create real change with you. Join me if you are up to the challenge and are interested in a warm, collaborative, empowering environment from a clinician who is dedicated to seeing your growth in real time.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will ask questions so I can understand your intentions for therapy or coaching, but I will mostly listen with interest in learning about where you are currently and where you want to grow in life. I truly believe that you are the expert of your life and I bring a great amount of respect and ability to create a plan together. In the first session you will learn that I have the ability to connect to your needs and will display several noticable actions to create a safe space for inclusivity and safety during this process.
