Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Halimat Akojie, a Maryland-licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner and dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health provider. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Walden University.

My approach to therapy

I provide compassionate, comprehensive mental health care for parents, caregivers, teens, young adults, and children experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. My approach is personalized and collaborative, with a focus on helping each patient prioritize their mental health, overall well-being, and meaningful engagement in their community.

What you can expect from me

I also evaluate and certify eligible patients for medical cannabis use in Maryland, when clinically appropriate.

I take the time to listen carefully to each patient’s experiences and concerns, and I tailor treatment to support their unique goals. If you are ready to begin your journey toward healing and renewed hope, I welcome you to reach out to schedule a consultation. I look forward to supporting you on your path to improved mental wellness.
