Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist, educator, and researcher dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges while building a stronger connection to themselves and their values. My professional background includes working in healthcare, higher education, community mental health, and veteran settings, giving me experience supporting clients from diverse cultural, racial, gender, and sexual identity backgrounds.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and issues affecting LGBTQIA+ individuals. My research and clinical work have focused on understanding how culture, identity, and lived experiences shape mental health and well-being.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, respected, and empowered. Whether you're navigating a difficult transition, healing from past experiences, exploring your identity, or seeking greater fulfillment in your relationships and daily life, I strive to provide a supportive environment where meaningful growth can occur.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, affirming, and culturally responsive. I recognize that every person's experiences are shaped by their unique identities, relationships, communities, and life circumstances. Together, we will explore the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build on your existing strengths to support lasting change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches while tailoring treatment to each client's individual goals and needs. I value curiosity, self-compassion, and authenticity, and I work to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, developing new perspectives, and moving toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and developing a shared understanding of what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals while creating space for you to share at a pace that feels comfortable.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead. Together, we'll begin identifying priorities for treatment and discuss how we can tailor our work to best support your needs and goals moving forward.
