I’m Hannah Dobson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, life transitions, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, parenting, and challenging relationship and family dynamics. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work and bring a compassionate, holistic, and client-centered approach to therapy.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I integrate CBT, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and psychodynamic techniques to help clients better understand themselves, reduce symptoms, and break unhelpful patterns. I work closely with clients to create a structured yet supportive space where they feel safe exploring insecurities, unhelpful thought patterns, limiting beliefs, people-pleasing tendencies, and emotional wounds from past relationships or family experiences. My goal is to empower clients with insight, skills, and confidence so they can build resilience, emotional balance, and healthier relationships.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, judgment-free environment where we focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to change. We’ll complete an intake assessment to better understand your current challenges, relevant history, and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. I prioritize creating a sense of safety, clarity, and collaboration from the start, so you leave feeling heard and supported. Together, we’ll outline next steps and begin building a plan aimed at relief, progress, and lasting emotional well-being.
