Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Hannah and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinical therapist. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work. I specialize in work with adolescents and young adults, particularly those who are impacted by the U.S. immigration system, experiencing acculturative stress, navigating relationships with parents, and have histories of trauma.

I am experienced in the following areas:

-Depression

-Anxiety

-Grief

-ADHD

-LGBTQ+

-PTSD

-Unaccompanied Migrant Youth

-Childhood Sexual Abuse

-Foreign-Born Survivors of Human Trafficking

-Acculturative Stress

-Intimate Partner Violence

-Parent-Adolescent Relationships

(typically between immigrant parents and first generation youth)

My approach to therapy

My practice is rooted in humanist theory; I treat all my clients with unconditional positive regard. In such a challenging world, I hope to provide a comforting space where clients can bring their full selves. I welcome clients to include their culture and/or spirituality in the therapeutic process.

I utilize the following treatment modalities and approaches:

-CBT

-TF-CBT

-DBT

-Polyvagal-Informed Therapy

-Trauma-Informed Therapy

What you can expect from me

After getting to know one another and once you feel comfortable, we will work together to discuss any difficulties you may be experiencing, develop goals, and identify which tools are most useful for your mental health needs. Some clients may take months or even years to share certain feelings, while other clients feel comfortable opening up right away. Every client deserves to share at their own pace.
