My approach to therapy

I offer a spectrum of treatments that prioritize self-advocacy, consent, and neurodiversity. My goal as your therapist is to minimize the disabling aspects of symptoms so your strengths can flourish. I believe children act out because they are missing skills (which can be taught) or supports (which can be provided). I teach children the foundational skills needed to participate in therapy to bridge the gap between Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. My goal is to optimize children’s agency in their mental health goals, across all abilities and needs. If you and your family are ready to commit to your goals, I can help.

What you can expect from me

How many Psychologists does it take to change a lightbulb?

One...but the lightbulb must WANT to change!

I can teach you mental health strategies, it is up to you to PRACTICE. Families will leave my sessions with handouts and “practice work” so they can use what they learned WHEN they are ready, at their pace. Together, we will make a personalized binder of constructive user-friendly lessons and resources. Children will create their own characters, memes, and social stories based on their individual treatment needs and interests.
