Great to meet you!

Taking the first step to look for a therapist is hard, so you are already headed in the right direction by being open to the potential benefits of therapy. I won’t claim to have all the answers. I do have over 18 years of experience as a master’s level Social Worker and 9 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have provided therapy to all ages, genders, ethnicities, religions, and consider myself to be a lifespan therapist.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a bit different than seeking advice from friends or family. I have trained and practiced for many years to guide clients towards self-discovery and growth. It is important for clients to feel comfortable and safe during therapy. I am a good listener who won’t judge you on anything you share with me. It is important that we build a trusting therapeutic relationship. You will need to actively participate, share, and engage in the process. I will do everything I can to support progress towards your goals, but ultimately a client’s therapeutic growth and change is a collaborative process. Finding the right therapist is important. If it doesn’t feel like I’m the right fit for you, I will be happy to support you to find a therapist that may be a better match for your needs.

What you can expect from me

I am a well trained and experienced therapist. I want each client to feel safe sharing sensitive information and trust that anything shared will not be disclosed. I am bound by confidentiality laws and required to protect each client’s privacy. I am honored to hear you and guide you to explore different responses and strategies for resolving dysfunctional patterns of behavior.
