Great to meet you!

Hi I'm Heather

I know it can be difficult to take the first step and reach out for support. Throughout my career, I have always admired and respected the courage it takes to sit down with someone you don't know and openly share your struggles. I consider it a privilege when clients place their trust in me and I strive to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental where clients feel heard and understood.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 25 years of experience I have had the privilege of helping adolescents, adults, couples and families navigate life's challenges.

Over the years, I have been honored to work with multiple generations of families, including many former adolescent clients who have returned as adults and parents. The trust clients place in me is something I never take for granted.

Whether you're navigating grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family conflict, major life transitions, or anything in between... you don't have to face it alone.

My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all. Every person's story, strengths, and challenges are unique and therapy should reflect that. My style is warm, empowering, and collaborative. Togther, we will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, develop practical coping slkills and work toward the changes that matter most to you.

I value creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, compassion, and respect. My goal is for clients to feel supported while also feeling encouraged to grow and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from your first session

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time meeting with a therapist. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and heard from the very beginning.

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, reviewing your history, and identifying the goals you would like to work toward. There is no pressure to share everything at once, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I encourage questions and view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we will create a plan that supports your unique needs and helps move you toward meaningful and lasting change.
