Great to meet you!

Hello! It's great to meet you. My name is Heather Reid and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LMSW). I have been a practicing social worker since December 2019 and have experience working in both medical social work as well as psychotherapy.

Throughout my career, I have worked with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, relationship stress, women's issues, life transitions, and trauma. I also have specialized experience supporting frontline workers and individuals impacted by medical trauma.

My approach to therapy

My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I utilize evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore challenges, clarify your values, and move toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but it's a meaningful step toward healing and growth. My hope is to offer a therapeutic space for you to share and reflect on your thoughts, challenges, and life experiences. Together, we will set goals for your future rooted in your personal values and life aspirations and work towards achieving these goals with action planning.
