In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to share at your own pace. My primary goal is to get to know you — your concerns, your strengths, and what brings you to therapy — while helping you feel comfortable with the process.
During this initial meeting, we will:
- Discuss what prompted you to seek support and what you hope to gain from therapy
- Review relevant personal, emotional, and relational history
- Identify current challenges and patterns you’d like to change
- Begin clarifying short- and long-term goals
I view the first session as a collaborative foundation-setting experience. Together, we will outline clear, realistic goals tailored to your needs — whether that’s reducing anxiety, improving mood, strengthening relationships, processing past experiences, or building coping skills.
You can also expect transparency about how I work, the approaches I use, and what ongoing sessions may look like. I encourage questions and open dialogue so you feel informed and empowered from the very beginning.
Above all, my aim is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported — and to leave the first session with greater clarity, direction, and a sense of hope about the path forward.
