Great to meet you!

My goal as a therapist is to support my clients through change- whether that change is by choice or unexpected. I work with individuals, children, teens, and adults, as well as families, and am enthusiastic about teaching skills associated with anxiety, depression, trauma, pet loss, life transitions, ADHD or self-actualization challenges. I am drawn to helping clients deepen their understanding of self and build enduring resilience.

I am a life-long Upper Peninsula resident, mom, animal lover, nature lover, aspiring mini farmer, artist, avid sunset and movie watcher.

A series of unusual events led me to seek a career as a therapist, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2022 with a master's in social work.

I offer virtual therapy sessions as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, ACT, BSFT, Psychodynamic and Humanistic Therapy, and Creative and Mindfulness-Based Therapies, and I tailor evidence-based interventions to meet each client at their current stage of readiness and change. By prioritizing genuine connection and integrating professional, evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities, my goal is to empower my clients to make change authentic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

I approach each session from a place of openness, sensitivity, and compassionate directness, while employing reflective questions, affirming feedback, and offering clear guidance when needed. I use therapeutic humor to build rapport and facilitate a relaxed and supportive environment. I believe that creating a comfortable, judgment-free space to explore therapeutic needs is at the heart of effective therapy.

Our first session together will focus on your expectations from therapy and what you can expect from me as your therapist.
