Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, and self-esteem challenges. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

My professional background includes community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and private practice. I also have training in hypnotherapy and an interest in the connection between emotional well-being, physical health, and the impact life experiences can have on how we view ourselves and the world around us.

I have a special interest in working with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, highly sensitive individuals, and those seeking greater self-awareness and personal growth. My approach is tailored to each client's unique needs and may incorporate insight-oriented work, coping skills development, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and exploration of underlying patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties.

Whether you are working through a specific challenge, adjusting to a life transition, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where healing, growth, and lasting change can occur.

I offer both in-person and virtual appointments. Availability shown on my calendar is intended for initial scheduling. Ongoing appointment days and times may vary, and we can discuss scheduling options that work best for you.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it is tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive, while also encouraging insight, growth, and meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and goals.

I work with clients to identify patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties and help them develop healthier ways of coping with stress, relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Depending on a client's needs, therapy may incorporate skill-building, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, insight-oriented exploration, and strategies to improve emotional well-being and resilience.

I have a particular interest in trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, highly sensitive individuals, and personal growth. My goal is to help clients gain greater self-awareness, strengthen their coping abilities, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, collaborative therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and understood.

During our first meeting, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant personal history, and any goals you hope to achieve. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels comfortable.

Together, we will begin identifying areas of focus and developing a plan that is tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. While each person's experience is different, clients can expect a compassionate, collaborative approach focused on understanding challenges, building strengths, and working toward meaningful and lasting change.
