Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Heidi Fanslow, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive care for adolescents and adults. I have more than 30 years of healthcare experience, with a background spanning oncology, inpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, and nursing education. After earning my Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University, I transitioned into advanced psychiatric practice with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges and improve their overall well-being.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, OCD, and other mental health conditions. I recognize that each person's story is unique, and I strive to understand the full picture—including medical factors, life stressors, relationships, sleep, and daily functioning—to develop a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, empowering, and solution-oriented. I believe the best outcomes happen when clients are active participants in their care. I take time to listen, provide education about diagnoses and treatment options, and work collaboratively to develop practical, evidence-based strategies that fit each person's values and circumstances.

I aim to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard and respected. Together, we'll identify what's working, address barriers to progress, and focus on meaningful steps toward improved mental health and quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to treatment. I'll ask questions about your current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, previous treatments, medications, and the goals you hope to achieve through care. We'll also explore how different areas of your life—including stress, sleep, relationships, work, and physical health—may be affecting your emotional well-being.

By the end of the appointment, we'll review my clinical impressions, discuss treatment recommendations, and develop an initial plan together. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling understood, informed, and with a clear sense of the next steps in your care.
