Great to meet you!
I have been a psychotherapist since 1979, and over the course of my career I have had the privilege of working with people through many different stages and challenges in their lives.

I have been a psychotherapist since 1979, and over the course of my career I have had the privilege of working with people through many different stages and challenges in their lives.
My primary approach is insight-oriented psychotherapy, which focuses on developing a deeper understanding of the thoughts, feelings, patterns, and experiences that influence how we relate to ourselves and to others. I believe that greater self-understanding can create the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. Depending on each person’s needs and goals, I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral approaches. I tailor the therapy to the individual, drawing from different methods when they can be helpful. I strive to provide a thoughtful, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where people can feel comfortable exploring what brings them to therapy.
My goal from the first session onward is to help each person gain greater clarity, develop effective ways of coping, and make changes that can lead to a more fulfilling life. After many years in the field, I continue to value the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and the opportunity to help people understand themselves and move forward.
