Great to meet you!

I help people navigate depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, complex medical needs, and the emotional challenges of caregiving or chronic health concerns. I have a particular interest in women’s health and midlife, including changing family roles, relationships, and finding purpose in a new season of life. As a Registered Play Therapist-SupervisorTM, I incorporate creative approaches, including play therapy and sandtray for in-person sessions, when appropriate. For those who desire it, Christian counseling can be integrated into therapy, providing a safe space to explore faith, prayer, Scripture, identity, purpose, and spiritual questions.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to understand you—your experiences, strengths, challenges, relationships, values, and goals—and use evidence-based approaches that fit your individual needs, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, and attachment-based therapy. I may also incorporate creative and experiential strategies when they are helpful, based on my experience as a Play Therapist. For clients who desire it, Christian faith can be thoughtfully integrated into counseling through faith, prayer, Scripture, identity, forgiveness, purpose, and spiritual questions.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily information gathering and getting to know you, including what brings you to counseling, your history, current challenges, strengths, relationships, and goals. You are in control of what you are ready to share, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will begin identifying what you would like to be different and what you hope to accomplish through counseling. My goal is to create a safe space where you can be honest, feel understood, and begin working toward meaningful change.
