I am a graduate of Virginia Union University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and I later went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health from Howard University. Throughout my studies, my practicum experience consisted of working with the Maryland Truancy Court Reduction Program and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

I like to create a space that will allow you to narrate your truth about challenges that have brought you to seek therapy. I focus on the past and the present for an appropriate duration of time to get an idea of who you are, and the possible origin of patterns of behavior. My style is strengths based, collaborative, honest, creative, humorous and solution focused. I like to promote proactivity rather than reactivity.
I like to collaborate with you on identifying conflicts or "unfinished business" that could be contributing to your "now" areas of concern and essentially any discord that could come up in the future. Matching my skill set with your needs in order to collaborate on creative ways to address your challenges. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
