Great to meet you!

Hello! I am so glad you're here.

I invite you to dance with these words as I share a bit more about myself! I am a licensed professional counselor, board-certified dance movement therapist, certified movement specialist & educator, certified professional clinical supervisor, and a certified Chi for Two® Embodiment Coach.

I completed my MA in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling from Columbia College Chicago, after teaching dance, working with at-risk youth and performing professionally in England and the Republic of Ireland for several years. I have a passion for music, poetry and gardening, cooking, languages and travel. I am in awe of how richly culture enlivens our energetic dances.

I maintain a private psychotherapy practice, provide clinical supervision, and serve as an educator and public speaker. I am an active member of the American Dance Therapy Association Southern Chapter, and the Atlanta dance community.

My approach to therapy

My work is a synthesis of verbal and non-verbal somatic psychotherapy, dance movement therapy, Chi for Two (a mindful embodiment method) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy from a Humanistic, Existential lens. As an homage to my English & Irish ancestry, I interweave elements of Celtic spirituality to cultivate a richly textured therapeutic movement relationship.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be welcomed into my therapy space and invited to notice what it feels like in their body to be in the space. Clients are offered the opportunity to express anything they are hungry to share, along with asking any questions they may have for me and how I work. I open a line of inquiry with open-ended questions that are asked with the intention of establishing the therapeutic relationship.
