Great to meet you!

I love working with individuals and couples with anxiety, depression, addictions, and interpersonal conflicts. Teens, young adults, new parents and senior citizens from diverse ethnic backgrounds. I am a first generation immigrant from Seoul, South Korea and have lived in multicultural family. Genuine curiosity for each and every unique story is my strength.

The most influential factor in therapeutic process is not the clinical technique but the genuine empathy. I take pride in holding limited amounts of slots to focus on each session with clients. I am here to fully sit in with you, listen to your story, and share natural human reactions which you have been longing for, and which chat gpt cannot give.

My approach to therapy

Looking for a space to talk without feeling judged? Maybe you're finally ready to sort through the constant tension in your relationship? I'm here to meet you where you are and walk with you at your pace. I tend to be gentle and non-directive, using "motivational interviewing"— it helps you find your own reasons for change. But at the right moments, I also be honest and direct to help you see what might be holding you back. Real change takes both: non-judgmental support and honest insight. The ultimate goal is to graduate from therapy with the confidence to regulate your emotions and align your actions with your values.

What you can expect from me

Usually, we start with talk therapy to use culturally sensitive, client-centered, and strengths based CBT interventions. When I see clients struggle with making progress, I would get informed consent to try brain science based trauma treatment technique, "brainspotting." Most of my clients get more efficient outcomes during brainspotting sessions than talk therapy ones.
