Great to meet you!

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) I am licensed in Nebraska and have over seven years of nursing experience with a focus in behavioral health. I am certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and hold active, unrestricted licensure in good standing. I am also professionally affiliated with the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Prior to becoming a nurse, I worked in mental health services. Through my time there, I discovered my passion for providing quality care and helping others feel better emotionally. In my career, I have worked with patients in a variety of psychiatric, crisis, and acute care settings. Some of my experience includes completing psychiatric evaluations, providing medication management, and caring for patients experiencing mental health crises.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the most effective mental health care begins with a trusting, collaborative relationship. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and actively participating in your treatment.

I recognize that every individual has unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work closely with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan based on their goals, symptoms, medical history, and preferences. I use evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, insomnia, and other common mental health conditions. Whether you are seeking treatment for the first time or looking for ongoing support, I am committed to helping you better understand your mental health, build resilience, and improve your overall quality of life.

I value open communication, respect, and shared decision-making. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that empowers you to make meaningful progress toward your mental health and wellness goals.

What you can expect from me

  • Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns at your own pace. During our initial session, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We'll discuss what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, family history, lifestyle, and the goals you hope to achieve. I also encourage you to ask questions so that you feel informed and involved in every step of your care. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your unique needs and preferences. This may include medication management, education about your diagnosis and treatment options, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals for additional services when appropriate. My approach emphasizes collaboration and shared decision-making, ensuring that you understand your options and feel empowered throughout your care. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, or another mental health concern, my priority is to help you feel heard, understood, and confident that we are working together toward meaningful, lasting improvement.
