Great to meet you!

I'm a San Diego native, though I've been bobbing between Portland, OR and Seattle, WA since 2011 when I first pitched a tent in the PNW. I attended Lewis & Clark College for a BA in Psychology. I spent my final year there mediating a weekly meditation group at Portland Mindfulness Therapy. From there, I became interested in the intersection of meditation and ADHD.

My approach to therapy

In 2023, I founded Prologue Counseling with the goal of helping creatives struggling with ADHD, identity issues, self-esteem, anxiety, relationship problems, and minority stress through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I also lean on a mesh of art and narrative therapy techniques. However, instead of drawing/painting, I like to infuse short, optional creative writing exercises to help clients become the main protagonist within their own life story.

What you can expect from me

As a gay man, I'm all too familiar with masking. We do it to gain social and romantic success. We do it because we don't like ourselves. We do it because we don't like what we are––not who. As a person with ADHD, I empathize with questioning every step I take, often stumbling over uneven pavement. Without support, our feelings lead to thoughts.

Let's turn that around so that your thoughts lead to feelings.

If you've been afraid of the sound of your own voice––let's learn to sing with it.
