Great to meet you!

I hold a Master of Social Work degree and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience working in hospital- and clinic-based settings. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate challenging and meaningful periods in their lives.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I value many of the same things I encourage clients to make space for in their own lives—relationships, connection, curiosity, and experiences that bring meaning and enjoyment. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and finding new places to explore. Whether it’s discovering somewhere new close to home or planning a trip somewhere completely different, I enjoy the opportunity to experience new places and perspectives.

I also understand that life can be busy, complicated, and sometimes messy. I bring that perspective into my work and strive to be approachable and genuine. My hope is that clients experience therapy as a place where they can feel comfortable being themselves, while knowing they have someone in their corner who will listen, collaborate, and help them work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel understood, supported, and actively involved in the process. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I work to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling supported in making meaningful changes.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with more than a decade of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have extensive expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and have worked with individuals across a wide range of diagnoses, presentations, and levels of care. My approach to eating disorder treatment is evidence-based and individualized, drawing from Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E).

I also specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety, and related concerns. I use evidence-based approaches, including exposure-based interventions and the Unified Protocol, to help clients better understand patterns of anxiety and avoidance, build confidence in managing difficult emotions, and gradually move toward the activities and relationships that matter most to them.

Although evidence-based treatment guides my work, I don't believe therapy should feel rigid or one-size-fits-all. I bring curiosity, compassion, humor when appropriate, and genuine collaboration into sessions. Together, we'll identify what is keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies for change, and work toward goals that feel meaningful and achievable.

Whether you are seeking support for an eating disorder, OCD, anxiety, or overlapping concerns, my goal is to help you feel understood while providing the structure, expertise, and encouragement needed to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. I’ll want to hear what brings you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope might be different. We’ll talk about your experiences, strengths, and goals, but there’s no expectation that you share everything at once or have everything figured out.

I see therapy as a collaborative process, so we’ll begin developing a plan together that fits your needs and priorities. You can also ask questions and get a sense of my approach and what working together might look like. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can go from here.
