Great to meet you!

I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a particular interest in LGBTQ+ mental health, sexuality, gender identity, relationships, and intimacy. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and major life transitions, and I care deeply about creating a space where you can be completely yourself and talk openly without fear of judgment. I believe the best treatment plans are built together, so I want you to have a real voice in your care and feel comfortable sharing what matters to you. A diagnosis is part of someone’s story, but it isn’t who they are, and I want to help people build meaningful lives without feeling defined or held back by a label.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is very individualized and collaborative. I want appointments to feel like a real conversation where you can be open about what’s going on without worrying about being judged. I’m a very open-minded person, and I genuinely value individual expression, even when someone’s choices or experiences are different from my own. I also work hard to leave my personal biases at the door and meet each person where they are. I’ll give you my honest clinical opinion, explain my recommendations and make sure you understand your options, but I also believe you should have a meaningful voice in decisions about your care. My role is to help you make informed choices while respecting your right to decide what feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

My goal for the first session is for you to feel comfortable and understood. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping will change. I’ll ask questions about your mental health, medical history, and life so I can get a better picture of what’s going on, but there’s no expectation that you have everything figured out before we meet. We’ll talk through what I’m seeing, go over your options, and decide together what makes sense for you moving forward. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard and knowing that you have a safe, judgment-free place to talk.
