Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jackee and I appreciate you checking out my page today. I am a mental health therapist in Maryland and I am offering virtual services so that you can engage in quality mental health from the comfort of home.

I earned my master's degree in clinical counseling from Hood College. My bachelor's level education comes from Penn State (We Are!) which include three degrees; sociology, criminology and rehabilitation and human services. I have a variety of human service experience. My work history includes early childhood education, inpatient mental health and crisis prevention, behavioral interventions for people with autism, advocate at a domestic violence shelter and completing an internship at a residential level substance use treatment program.

Outside of my clinical work I enjoy spending time with my family and finding new things to do on the weekends, whether it be a concert or going to the fair. I have two fur babies named Albus and Minerva. I love them to pieces! I love talking about movies, travel and history. The mantra I live by is to give myself grace. It was shared with me and I share it with others as I recognize that we all could benefit from being more patient with ourselves. We all are only living this life for the first time.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered approach, adjusting modalities depending on what you may need. Life comes with many challenges and I believe that what we need one day, may not be what we need the next. I'll adjust with you as needed to provide the best support possible.

What you can expect from me

I aim to provide comfort and ease as I introduce you to the therapeutic process. Our first session together will include reviewing need-to-know information, policies and various questions that will help me get to know you. Together we will decide where to go from there to get you closer to living a life that feels authentic to you.
