Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Jacqueline Arthur-Baidoo, and I am a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health care. I believe in creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their mental health journey.

I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan who are experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, and other mental health concerns. My approach combines evidence-based treatment, medication management, and supportive therapy while recognizing each client's unique needs, goals, and cultural background.

I earned my nursing education and advanced practice training with a focus on psychiatric and mental health care and remain committed to lifelong learning to provide the best possible care. I work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that promote healing, resilience, and overall well-being.

Whether you are seeking help for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I look forward to partnering with you to help you achieve your goals and improve your quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that effective mental health care begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, respect, and open communication. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participating in their treatment.

My approach is collaborative and individualized. I recognize that every person has unique experiences, strengths, and goals, so I tailor treatment plans to meet each client's specific needs. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies to help clients achieve lasting improvements in their mental health and overall well-being.

I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, stress, and mood disorders. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care, while encouraging clients to develop healthy coping skills, resilience, and self-awareness.

I believe that recovery is a partnership. Together, we will identify your goals, celebrate your progress, and develop a treatment plan that empowers you to improve your quality of life and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brings you to treatment. We will discuss your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and the goals you hope to achieve. This comprehensive assessment helps me develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs.

You can expect a warm, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you are encouraged to share at your own pace. I believe in listening carefully, answering your questions, and ensuring you feel comfortable and involved in every step of your care.

By the end of the first session, we will work together to identify treatment goals, discuss recommended interventions, and determine whether medication management, therapy, or a combination of both is the best approach. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident that we have a clear plan to help you move toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
