Great to meet you!

I have been in the field for 24 years now working as a case manager in intensive home based programs in 2002 until I obtained my first counselor license in 2008.I then transitioned into Outpatient Mental Health Counseling and have worked in a variety of settings mainly private practice and my focus in 18 years old and older currently.I obtained my independent license in 2011, Supervisory designation in Ohio in 2013 and my Licensure Endorsed by Maryland and Supervisory status in May 2019.

My approach to therapy

I am very Person-Centered/Humanistic with Supportive Psychotherapy to life challenges. I work towards helping clients meet their own overall mental health Whole Person-Mind, Body, Spiritual goals in sessions. I also utilize CBT, Mindfulness based Interventions with use of music, guided meditations and/or movement as I'm also a Certified Dancing Mindfulness facilitator helping clients move/work through music and thoughts/feelings/behavior responses in the moment in that practice.

What you can expect from me

I also integrate Psychoanalytic Therapy to have past concerns that are currently affecting one and work towards moving forward in the Present Moment in a healthier way.I utilize also Solution-Focused Therapy, am Strength-Based but very Behavioral in making positive changes for oneself.I meet clients where they are at and let them lead me often as I follow with appropriate interventions to what happens in between sessions that a client wants to address.I'm very warm, energetic and humorous too.
