Great to meet you!

Hi. Thanks for considering me for someone to talk with about your life, concerns and

desires. I have a Masters in Transformational Counseling and a Doctorate in Clinical

Psychology. I have been counseling for 18 years and consider it a honor to be in a helping profession. I am trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Emotion Code and

Body Code. However, I often take the role of coach and cheerleader for a person,

focusing on positive progress through setting small, achieveable goals and seeing them to

completion, thus increasing satisfaction with life.

My approach to therapy

My approach in counseling is to assist a person in identifying what they want in life, including

changes they would like to make. Then together we make a plan to bring these changes into reality. Many times, a person needs support to set boundaries for themselves and communicate clearly with loved ones and coworkers. Often, a person feels overwhelmed with

responsibilities and challenges that they are trying to handle alone.

I enjoy being a supportive listener, and standing by a person as they decide to make changes

and take action toward a life they feel more happy with.

What you can expect from me

I understand that opening up to an unknown person and asking for help can be hard. For those who have had counseling before, they may have questions about letting someone new in to their personal world. I try to be especially sensitive to these feelings the first visit.

Also, I like to find out what motivated a person to reach out for help and what they envision as being helpful. I invite them to ask me questions and explain how my solution focused approach works.
