Great to meet you!

With an academic background in women’s studies, psychology and family systemic processes, I am able to provide deep insight into how individuals, children, couples, families, and young adults navigate all relationships and societal expectations. This allows clients to succeed in self-discovery and grow into better functioning, creating more harmony within life's roles.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that family—whether biological or chosen—serves as the foundational source of both growth and challenge for every individual. The family of origin profoundly impacts our emotional well-being, and it is through therapeutic work that families can find alignment with themselves and each other. By addressing the dynamic stories and sometimes unspoken struggles carried into new family systems, I help clients make sense of their experiences, turning confusion into clarity and restoring balance, internally and externally. As a trauma surthrivor, I take my clients as they are, often doing the hard things while afraid, understanding the grave importance of healing and restoration.

What you can expect from me

My deep desire to walk alongside clients means that my practice is built on a foundation of hope, compassion, and collaboration. As additional support, I can utilize Christian principles within your therapeutic journey. If not wanted, then we take a traditional therapeutic approach. All are driven through evidence-based modalities with a humanistic, internal strengths approach, often combining modalities such as the Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to help families achieve their goals of living in harmony and fostering love. My focus is on empowering clients to build peace within themselves and their relationships.

I am an advocate for utilizing each client’s unique strengths to address even the most difficult challenges—whether infidelity, addiction, or sexual concerns—approaching each situation with confidence, humor, and a focus on restoring courage and self-trust. I am known for my ability to find the smallest seeds of hope in situations that may seem insurmountable, reaffirming my belief that no one is beyond healing, hope, or love.
