Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NC. I started my social work career working with DSS, protecting and preserving the safety and dignity of children & families including providing parenting education to parents and foster parents. I've worked in community mental health where I worked with individuals with SPMI (severe persistent mental illness), helping them to cope with past & present adversity, meet their basic needs, and rebuild ties with their families.

My approach to therapy

Throughout all of my social work and clinical experiences, I’ve gathered tools and ideas from my education, work experiences, different trainings and conferences that inform my clinical practice. I like to use an eclectic approach that includes teachings from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you to find the solutions to the issues that have brought you to therapy.

What you can expect from me

Working with me in any capacity, you will find that I work to create a level of comfort for you to be your authentic self. Your relationship with your therapist should be a partnership, offering unconditional positive regard, support, education, and guidance.
