Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Jaime Johnson, LCSW. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University and have spent the past four years helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and emotional well-being.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, grief and loss, trauma, and emotional regulation challenges. I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Brainspotting, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. My approach focuses not only on helping clients understand their struggles but also equipping them with practical tools to create meaningful and lasting change.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for support during a difficult season of life, therapy can provide an opportunity to gain insight, build resilience, and move toward the life you want to live.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative while also providing practical strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based interventions. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build healthier coping strategies, and work toward goals that are meaningful to you.

I understand that every person’s journey is different, so I tailor treatment to your specific needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional balance, confidence, and resilience while creating lasting change both inside and outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to begin building a comfortable and trusting therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review relevant background information, and identify goals you would like to achieve.

My goal is not to put you on the spot or make you feel like you’re being evaluated. Instead, I focus on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where you can share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin developing a personalized plan that aligns with your needs, strengths, and goals.

Many clients leave their first session feeling relieved, understood, and hopeful about the path forward. My aim is to help you feel supported from day one while providing clear direction and practical tools to help you create meaningful change in your life.
