Great to meet you!

I have worked in mental health for over 13 years now in various settings, positions and with different patient populations. I have been a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for 3 years now. I graduated from Nursing School from the University of Utah and from the #1 ranked PMHNP graduate program in the nation at Vanderbilt University.

I am very passionate about mental health awareness, social justice and being an advocate in the community. I love working with neuro-divergent patients (Autism/ADHD), men's mental health, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, those in unconventional relationships or those facing life transitions.

I myself am an openly Autistic/ADHD (AUDHD) diagnosed man and know how difficult and complex life can be. I also actively put in the self work for my physical, mental and spiritual health and understand how important it is to find an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and open minded provider who is passionate about this field, loves what they do, and cares about having a healthy and strong therapeutic alliance with their patients.

In my free time I love to weight train at the gym, travel to new places, attend music festivals, play video games, read, listen to podcasts, socialize with friends and have played competitive soccer in the past.

My approach to therapy

I use a strength based/trauma informed solution focused approach to helping clients throughout their mental health journey. My therapeutic modalities and medical decision making is evidence based and within my educational and continual training and scope of practice as a licensed provider. My personality is direct, analytical, kind, understanding and occasionally with a bit of dry humor.

What you can expect from me

My sessions typically include evaluation, medication management, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, psychoeducation, behavioral activation and CBT or ACT when appropriate.
