My focus is on accepting people with unconditional regard with the realization that emotional and mental illness presents suffering to the client and to their immediate family and friends. I am Board Certified in mental health and graduated with my MSN in Nursing Science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and PostGraduate training at Oregon Health & Science University focusing on the care of individuals, families and groups across their lifespan experiencing the suffering of mental and emotional illness.

I like to learn about how clients have been experiencing their mental illness, and what has been effective or not to help them get through their day. Do they have positive habits, like meditation, exercise, healthy diet, making their bed daily, hiking, and hydrating? Do they have a support system, a counselor or a group?

Our initial meeting will include a comprehensive mental health assessment to include specific symptoms and self harm assessment. A family history, a medication history to include allergies, a medical history to include surgeries, and medications
