Great to meet you!

Metaphor is another language for me, and a way to connect and help clients understand what the heck I'm talking about! I use my trainings, mostly centered around trauma and neurobiology, to help you understand your own experiences, maintain enough control to make your own choices under pressure and triggers, and to create a language for communicating with your subconscious-that way you can feel without being overwhelmed and feel like your best self even when things go sideways.

My approach to therapy

I use a lot of neurobiology-a fancy way of describing patterns of learned behavior as they are built into how you think and feel in reaction to things that happen around you. I teach a lot so that my clients understand my approach for theirselves. Expect to learn about attachment and boundaries. I provide a specialty therapy called EMDR to help break down negative associations in the mind and to build more positive associations so that people can feel safe, capable, good, powerful, and valuable.

What you can expect from me

Expect to get into your disturbance and to understand it but also to experience it diminishing. My approach with people is to help them know what they need to be content in life and to challenge unhelpful beliefs that do not benefit them. I'll help you to work hard and to achieve the results of feeling stronger and more secure in yourself.
