James is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2010. Later, he earned his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University. He is a member of the He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).


James has served as Worship Minister, Youth Minister, and Young Adult Minister, and is currently a lead preaching minister in an innercity ministry.

My approach to therapy

James has a passion for people and a desire to help them find hope and healing in all areas of the client's life. He takes a warm, welcoming, but direct dynamic approach to therapy. James' style of therapy includes mainly Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions.
