Great to meet you!

Hello! I am an Christian therapist, integrating the best peer reviewed research with Biblical truths. My approach is brain-based, often integrating EMDR with other evidence-based models, including clinical hypnotherapy, ego state work, Mindfulness approaches, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy.

My practice was born from a desire to see healing take place in children, adolescents, and adults. I take my clients' needs seriously and invest myself to see rapid healing take place. I call my practice "Hope Renewed" because I know from experience that hope can be renewed and restored!

My approach to therapy

I routinely work with couples and families, anxiety, depression, addictions, trauma, chronic pain, and other things most therapists treat.

I specialize in treating trauma, especially complex trauma created from adverse childhood experiences. Most of the problems we face in adulthood began in childhood and have followed us through our lives. I use multiple evidence-based therapies, based on individual client needs.

I am certified and an approved consultant in EMDR. I am certified in clinical hypnotherapy by both ICBCH and IHA and often use this approach to help heal childhood wounds, trauma, and chronic pain. I am also certified and often use Mindfulness approaches to help heal damage from chronic stress.

Just as no two clients are alike, our needs also vary. This is why I believe that having a LOT of tools is better than only a few. This drives me to constantly train, study, and learn new and better methods of facilitating healing.

What you can expect from me

From our first appointment, I would like to give you some helpful things that you can immediately begin to integrate into your every day life. These may include breathing techniques or relaxation and mindfulness skills. This normally gets things off to a good start and clients typically see improvements the first week.
