Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from Holy Cross University. I am currently advanced trained and working toward certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Story Informed Trauma Therapy (SITT), and Play Therapy.

Before becoming a counselor, I worked extensively with individuals and communities deeply affected by trauma. These experiences shaped my commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complex emotional and relational challenges that trauma often creates.

Like everyone, I have faced my own struggles. I believe acknowledging our pain is a powerful step toward healing, and finding the right therapist can make all the difference. We only what we were taught — until we learn something new. You deserve to become the healthiest, most authentic version of yourself, and I am here to support you in discovering new ways of living, connecting, and thriving.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment theory and heavily influenced by both EFT and SITT. I help clients explore how their early relationships shaped their sense of self, their patterns of connection, and the ways they learned to cope. When clients understand how their behaviors make sense in the context of their story, they often find greater self‐compassion and the freedom to create new, healthier patterns. This process can strengthen relationships, break old cycles, and foster deeper emotional security.

My counseling style is warm, validating, and attachment‐based. Together, we look at what you learned from those who raised you, how you sought comfort as a child, whether emotions were safe to express, and how these early experiences continue to influence your life today.

What you can expect from me

The first session sets the tone for our work together, and I treat it as a space to start building trust and a genuine connection. We’ll talk about things like:

  • What brings you in and why now
  • How your current struggles are affecting your daily life and relationships
  • What you’ve tried so far to cope or manage
  • How you take care of yourself
  • How you respond to stress
  • What you’re hoping for in a therapist and in therapy

A lot of people feel anxious before their first session — that’s completely normal. You’re meeting someone new and being asked to share parts of your life that may be painful or deeply personal. I get that. My goal is to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible.

I’m casual, approachable, and not the stereotypical “prim and proper” therapist. I don’t expect perfection, and I don’t sit silently judging. I show up as a real person. I invite questions, and when it’s appropriate, I share pieces of my own experience. I’m an open book because I know that trust goes both ways.

This is a space where you don’t have to perform or impress — you just get to be human.
