Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and I have been working in the mental health field since 2013. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Limited Professional Counselor (LLPC) in the state of Michigan.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across both private and public sectors with individuals and families navigating a wide range of experiences, including involvement with the criminal justice system, Child Protective Services (CPS), juvenile residential care, and private practice.

I genuinely love working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe we ALL have a story to tell, and each of our journeys is unique. The experiences we have along the way shape who we are and can sometimes lead us to therapy—not to be judged, but to be heard, understood, supported, and reminded that we are human.

Therapy with me allows a space where you can show up as you are, explore your story, and work toward the life and relationships you desire.

I would be honored to be a part of your journey. ❤️

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded primarily in Family Systems Theory, which recognizes that our relationships, family experiences, and environments can have a significant impact on how we think, feel, and respond to the world around us. At the same time, I believe therapy should be individualized. My therapeutic interventions draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques and theories to meet the unique needs of each person, couple, or family I work with.

I believe that you are more than the challenge that brought you to therapy. To understand your story, we explore many different areas of your life, including your family of origin, relationship history, work, health, friendships, creative outlets, sexuality, spirituality, and other experiences that are meaningful to you. We will discuss whatever feels relevant to your therapeutic journey, while always respecting your comfort and boundaries.

Therapy is a collaborative process. Our time together should be meaningful, productive, and—when possible—something you can look forward to. I will bring my knowledge, experience, and genuine presence to our sessions, and I ask that you bring your willingness to participate, reflect, and explore.

I want my therapeutic space to feel like your space—a place where you can be comfortable, unwind, be honest, explore your emotions, and make sense of your experiences without fear of judgment.

My goal isn't to tell you who you should be. It is to help you better understand who you are, where you've been, where you want to go, and what may be getting in the way.

Your story matters. Your journey is unique. And I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward becoming a healthier, more connected version of yourself.

What you can expect from me

For your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and compassionate space where we begin getting to know you—your history, your experiences, your current challenges, and what brought you to therapy. My goal is not simply to focus on what feels difficult, but to understand you as a whole person and recognize the strengths, experiences, and circumstances that have shaped who you are today.

Together, we’ll begin identifying what you hope to accomplish through our work and discuss how I can best support you along the way. Therapy is a collaborative process, so your voice, comfort, and goals are an important part of where we begin.

From our very first session, my hope is that you feel heard, understood, and supported. And ultimately, my goal is to work myself out of a job—helping you develop the insight, skills, confidence, and tools you need to thrive independently. My hope is that, when our work together comes to an end, you feel ready to move forward in life with confidence, knowing that you can always return for a little “oil change” when needed.
