Great to meet you!

I am super passionate about creating a therapeutic connection with my clients, no matter the background. I have spent 10 years working in various treatment settings like crisis stabilization, addiction centers, state hospital, outpatient therapy, Autism and ADHD treatment settings, and community case management. I will be there for the ups and downs.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, with a specialization in Addiction. I have previously been a Registered Behavior Technician that provided me with a background in Autism and ADHD from a different angle, and now am looking to address the mental health aspects that so frequently go unaddressed during behavior therapy. I have lived in Ecuador teaching English and am welcoming of all cultural backgrounds. I love learning about what made you- You, while processing and navigating any changes you'd like to see that could improve your quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a strength- based approach while highlighting various thought patterns, challenging distressing thoughts, and identifying potential obstacles or solutions- while also validating your real- life experience, as you see it through eyes and feel it through your body. We all deserve to be heard and felt "seen" and I strive to do that for all my clients. I check- in with clients on their treatment goals routinely to address any changes in their desires for therapy outcomes and potentially try different avenues to address various new issues. I accept any client feedback that would better their experience with therapy, as I know many people have unfortunately had unpleasant therapy experiences in the past. I want you to feel comfortable being your true authentic self because I feel that is when the real growth happens.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, a client can expect me to introduce myself and invite the client to do the same. The client can ask me any questions that would ease any nerves or help them better understand the therapy process. I will review the client's intake form with them and further discuss their goals in seeing a therapist. I may ask additional questions pertaining to symptoms and situations leading up to current status. I will ensure we are both on the same page and then begin identifying a schedule for frequency of sessions and answer any remaining questions.
